The hotel is brand new, and located one block from North Michigan and all the shopping along that famed street. The entrance in on North Rush and easy to miss - I walked right by it the first time - so keep your eye peeled. This is a stylish but few frills hotel. There is a small market in the lobby for soda and chips. Check in was quick as they support Marriott's mobile check-in. I had a room on the 7th floor. Walk in and you are struck by the very stylish decor, but realize that it is more functional than luxurious. The floors are wood (or wood laminate). No carpeting here. The furnishings clean and modern. The desk functional although the desk chair is not your typical ergonomic desk chair, just a plain chair. There is no closet - rather an open shelving unit which also contains the very small but efficient fridge and coffee maker. My room had a complimentary bathrobe and slippers. Plenty of power, including USB charging by the bed for your phone. There are no hotel related materials in the room - less clutter. But it would have been nice to see what the restaurant had to offer. The WiFi was blazing fast - some of the best I have recently encountered in a hotel. There is no room service. There is a single restaurant/bar on the 4th floor. I did not try it so I have no feedback. The bed as extremely comfortable. I don't sleep well in hotels but got a good night's sleep here. Plenty of pillows, but not so many you throw half of them on the floor. There is a waterfall shower in the small but well equipped bathroom. I had a king with a sofa in the room - very nice for taking a nap before the show. I paid a ridiculously low $89 for the night. I'm assuming this was an introductory rate but in any event probably indicates this is a value priced property. My only small complaint was check-out. There seems to be no express checkout, so I had about a 5 minute wait to complete that process. In sum - fabulous property for the price. Highly recommended.
