We have visited a few 'Small Luxury Hotels'-network's establishments before and have always been pleased with the quality, service and experience. St Petersbourg was no exception - excellent location and although slightly kitchen interior, nicely turned out spaces and exceptionally good service. The front desk staff were courteous, friendly and attentive. We were celebrating our anniversary and the hotel had arranged a surprise bottle of bubbly in our room which was a wonderful touch. The room itself was a good size, with plenty of furnishings and still more than enough space to move around. The bed was very comfortable. Although the location of the hotel is very central, it was very peaceful and we were not disturbed by any sounds from the street outside. The only minus points for the small bathroom, which was beautifully appointed, but small, could not fit two people in at once and the lack of air conditioning in March. Understandably the heating mode was still on as it was cold outside, but there was no option to alter the temperature in the room, just to turn the air con off. We had the window open for most of the time, as we found the room a bit too warm. The cleaning deserves a special mention, our room was turned down every day when we popped out and was always immaculate, Breakfast was served in the restaurant downstairs and it was fine, not the best spread I've had but totally adequate, plenty to choose from and hot dishes to order off the menu. Sparkling wine was also on offer in case you want to start the morning with style. The hotel lobby and communal areas are really cool, very cozy with fireplaces and an excellent pool table on the first floor landing if you like that type of thing. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, luxurious and great value for money. We will definitely return, this will be our go to-hotel in Tallinn from now on! Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving guest the great service that you provide.
